Family Legacy
Jerry's Pools is named after its founder, Jerry Thibodeaux Sr. of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Jerry began his career with Lafayette’s first swimming pool company (Swimming Pool Inc.) working his way into management. In 1979, he took the leap to start his own business. After decades of dedication, Jerry retired (Semi-retired) in 2008, selling his remaining shares to his son, Theodore Thibodeaux. Having worked in the family business since childhood and becoming a partner in 2003, Theodore now proudly serves as the sole owner of Jerry's Pools, continuing the legacy of quality craftsmanship and customer service.

Our success is a testament to our longevity. In an industry where multi-generational family businesses are rare, we've proudly served Acadiana for over 45 years, continuously refining the pool construction process. I'm Proud to continue my father's legacy constructing high quality custom pools in Acadiana. In my 36 years (of the 50 years this business has existed) I've experienced and learned things- specifically about swimming pool construction- that most will not see in a lifetime. My hands have touched and created every aspect of swimming pool construction before "subcontractors" were a thing. A personal, intricate knowledge, of every step enables me to communicate/ examine/ correct any stage of the project. There's a difference to someone that has seen it done and someone who has done it himself. It's hard learned lessons and I'm attempting to pass that wisdom down to future generations currently.

Having commercial experience requires a level of pool engineering expertise that is highly uncommon in the industry. Health Department codes for type A,B & C commercial pools requires a heavily regulated knowledge of filtration systems, the ability to calculate accurate turn over rates, increased standards of slopes/ steps/ benches/ break lines/ and the pools ability to manage high use high demand Chemistry. These regulations do not apply directly to residential pools but the concepts are there for a reason and our extensive commercial experience has heavily influenced our much less restrictive residential projects.
